Are you ready to meet sub-6 GHz 5G new radio requirements?
ETS-Lindgren now offers test solutions upgrades for existing OTA chambers
CEDAR PARK, Texas– January 21, 2019 – ETS-Lindgren announced the immediate availability of a 5G upgrade package for existing Over-the-Air (OTA) test systems, including those installed by ETS-Lindgren and other manufacturers. The upgrade adds value to the original test system investment by adding support for 5G New Radio (NR) devices operating in non-standalone (NSA) mode. Support for stand-alone (SA) mode devices operating in frequency range 1 (FR1), also called the Sub-6 GHz band, will be available shortly. An upgrade to ETS-Lindgren's industry leading EMQuest™ antenna measurement software allows for Total Radiated Power (TRP) and Total Isotropic Sensitivity (TIS) testing of Single Input Single Output (SISO) devices. Customers have full flexibility when selecting the 5G network emulator since EMQuest supports all major equipment manufacturers.
"The beauty of this upgrade is that 5G is a cost effective bolt-on, utilizing the customer's existing OTA chamber and investment" said James Young, Director of Business Development with ETS-Lindgren. "In addition, installation is 1-2 weeks on-site and we train users once the upgrade is completed to ensure they are immediately productive with the upgraded system. Our goal is to provide an easy investment decision and path with as little downtime as possible so our customers feel confident accepting 5G projects. We know how important time to market is in this industry!"
ETS-Lindgren offers solutions for 5G measurements in both frequency ranges, 600 MHz to 6 GHz and the millimeter range where various bands between 22 and 50 GHz are being considered for 5GNR devices.
